a copy of the local Ordinances 3 of 1874,
which, with the Imperial Act 18 & 19 Victoria Cap.104,
prescribe and limit the Governor's power in this matter of Chinese Emigration. The printed papers relating to the case of the "Glamis Castle"
enable you to see how the Emigration Ordinances are worked.
The enclosed Ordinance 1 of 1879
may be of interest to the Australian Government.
